2015: Dankwambo’s commissioner picks nomination form for Gombe North senatorial seat

Former commissioner of Agriculture in Gombe State, Alhaji Dahiru Buba Biri has declared his intention to contest for Gombe North senatorial seat in the forth coming general elections.

Biri made the declaration yesterday in Gombe while collecting nomination form at the PDP party secretariat, adding his intension to vie for the senatorial seat in 2015 was aimed at ensuring to fast track the development of his constituency.

According to him, modalities have been put in place to ensure for his victory in the forth coming general elections which he said would enable him represent Gombe north senatorial district well in the National Assembly, noting that if elected into office, he would not relent to carry anyone alone in his constituency.

Speaking further, the aspirant pledged that education, agriculture would be his major priority if given the chance to serve in 2015, adding that his declaration did not come as a surprise but came at the right time when his people needed him most.

He called on the people in area to ensure that they registered for their permanent voters cards in order to vote candidates of their choice even as he said the zoning formula had given him the courage to contest in the forth coming general elections.

He however maintained that the administration of Governor Dankwambo had impacted immensely on the development of the state, urging that PDP is the only party to beat in 2015 general elections.

“My hope is to ensure that the people in my constituency have sense of belonging in the society which according to shim would help to develop the area” he said.

Alhaji Biri said if elected he would work closely with his people saying his ambition was to carry them along in his programmes to enable them benefit the dividends of democracy in the country.
