Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Kebbi State chapter, Alhaji Cheseo Nayhaya, has called on the incumbent state chairman of Peoples Democratic Party [PDP], Alhaji Mansiru Sheahu, to come out and contest for the Governorship position in the forthcoming 2015 general election.
Addressing newsmen in Birnin Kebbi yesterday along with thousands of its supporters, the chairman of the youth said that after due consultation and careful deliberations, as well as tracing good records and observations of the past efforts, the youth and PDP elders stakeholders agreed to present Sheahu as the best party candidate for 2015 Governorship election.
‘’We have screened candidates contesting for governorship position under PDP around and after doing that, everybody agreed on PDP chairman as his candidate, we then solicited for the full support of Governor Dakingari to agree on the final decision as they did during his own period’’ he said.
He however, described Sheahu as a foundation member of the PDP; member of PDP Board of Trustee (BoT) in the state, PDP state elder forum and best chairman ever produced in Kebbi who has never left the party since its registration.
