2015: Keep faith with Jonathan – Guber aspirant urges Kwara electorates

Date:

By Stanley Onyekwere

Electorates in Kwara State have been enjoined to keep faith with President Goodluck Jonathan through the electioneering process, in the February 2015 general elections and beyond, as he would take the nation to highest height.

This call was made by a Kwara State gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ajadi Suleiman, yesterday, in an interview with the select journalists in Abuja.

Ajadi, a former commissioner of finance in Kwara State, who is also the Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly matters, said the President has demonstrated commitment to the People of Kwara, in time past and remains committed to working for the state and the country at large.

He stressed that the people of Kwara should not take the All Progressives Congress (APC), the opposition party serious as they constitute promise breakers, who after been fed by the finger of the PDP suddenly turned around to destroy the party.

He noted that in spite of their efforts at undermining the party, the PDP has waxed stronger in the state and ready to serve out the punishment they deserved for seeking to destroy the party that made them.

He urged the people to ensure that they vote APC out of Kwara State, “because they are ungrateful and return the PDP to the office it legally occupied but was taken away by the ungrateful people who defected to the APC.”

“The APC in Kwara State are a party of overzealous individual and political ingrates, who are biting the finger that fed them.

“How do you seek to crush the house that gave you shelter and comfort you?,” the Presidential aide queried.

According to him, it is the prerogative of all citizens of the state to vie for the office of the governor, saying as a citizen with that right; he has also served the people of the state in various capacities giving him first-hand knowledge of their needs and set to provide solutions.

He said the more the number of people contesting for any office the merrier as whoever emerges the winner will be the popular and acceptable candidate of the party to be so supported at the polls across board.

He however said while he is not going into the contest to lose, he will remain in the party no matter the outcome of the primaries because “I am not an ingrate, I will work for President Jonathan to deliver Kwara State for the PDP, and also work for the PDP where I have pitched my tent.”
