National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has announced its endorsement of Engineer Ibrahim Shehu Gusau to be the Governor of Zamfara state in 2015.
The NANS leadership spoke through their National President, Comrade Tujjani Ibrahim, at the official declaration of Engr Ibrahim Shehu Gusau, which was held at Gusau.
The Association promised to participate actively for mobilisation and house to house campaign for Engr Ibrahim Shehu if he secures his party ticket to contest for the seat in Zamfara state.
NANS described him as friendly politician among all other aspirants from both Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) to the students’ group, going by his recent and continued participation, commitment and goodwill to the development of education in the state and nation in general.
The NANS said Engr Shehu paid millions of naira out of his own personal pocket for scholarships of thousand of Zamfara students, adding that he sponsored their studies and securing of admissions of many at various higher Institution of learning across the country.
