FUDMA Cooperative Society Unveils Online Platform, Announces Significant Net Income 

 

The Federal University Dutsin-Ma Interest Free Cooperative Society (FIFCOS), has unveiled an online platform through which its 1,800 members could access its services real time.

The platform was unveiled during the 11th Annual General Meeting of the Cooperative held in Dutsin-Ma.

According to the Chairman Mal. Abdulganiyyu Muhammad Olalekan, the ‘FIFCOS Application’  enables members to access and obtain the entire services of the cooperative online.

During the AGM, members expressed confidence in the leadership of the organisation and the progress made within the year after the Chairman briefed the participants on the various services rendered during the year which brought succour to members and their families.

Mal. Abdulganiyyu said the interventions brought succour and enhanced the welfare of the teeming members of the Cooperative Society.

He said that the members had received support through the Cooperative’s “Family Support, Double My Size, Relieve and Property Loan packages”.

The chairman added that FIFCOS had provided some token to its members who were seriously ill and to families of deceased members.

He said that the membership of the organisation has risen steadily from less than 500 at inception to about 1,800, while the net income generated during the year, has increased significantly compared to the preceeding year.

During the AGM, FIFCOS’s Financial Secretary, Mal. Ibrahim Umar Ibrahim, presented the financial report of the organisation, which covers assets, credit entries, debits, ledger and gross transactions.

He, however, said the Cooperative is contending with the problem of non-release of members contributions by the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) and the absence of office accommodation.

In a vote of thanks, the immediate past chairman of FIFCOS, Dr. Ahmad Abubakar, showered encomiums on the officials for a job well done, saying their performance has instilled confidence in members that their funds are in good hands.
