2015: Taraba women vow to vie for position in the 2015 general elections

The coordinator, North East Zonal Women Political Empowerment Projects and Development Initiative for African Women, Erisa Danladi, has stressed the need for women to develop positive attitudes towards political activities in the country.

Danladi, who disclosed that the project was that of the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, said it was targeted at ensuring active participation of women in politics.

She explained that the workshop was aimed at building the capacities of women and to encourage them to vie for elective positions in the 2015 general elections.

Danldi noted that the workshop would educate women on how to articulate and conduct themselves during campaigns and elections.

According to her, Taraba was the first state in the zone to begin the electoral school training adding that they would go round the other states of the zone for the same purpose.
