2019: Advice your wards to shun violence, Kebbi Gov’s wife urges parents

The Wife of Kebbi State Governor, Hajiya Aisha Bagudu has urged parents in the state to advice their children to desist from violence ahead of 2019 forthcoming general election.
She made this call yesterday in Birinin Kebbi during a lecture organised by MALLPAI Foundation with the theme; ‘’ Continues peaceful coexistence in Kebbi State during the campaign and after the 2019 general election”.
Her excellence said further that women have a role to play in this country by calling the attention of their children especially youths to desist from violence during 2019 general election.
‘’ During violence , the most people that suffer most are women and the children. When violence started, everybody would run away for protection, but mothers will always looking for her children, at the end, majority of casualties will be women ‘’, she said.
She said mothers need to be protected and secured, because they are first teachers of children in any society, saying that the children are the leaders of tomorrow the future of children and youth is in the hand of mothers.
The wife of the Governor advised youth not allow themselves to be used for political thuggery during election and that the development of the country lays in the hand of youths.
‘’ Our youths can learn how to be, more productive instead of fighting, involving in violence which is uncalled for ‘’ , she said.
The Kebbi State House of Assembly Speaker, Alhaji Abdulmumuni Kamba commended the wife of the governor and MALLPAI Foundation for organising the programme to educate citizens, and important of peaceful coexistence among the people ahead of 2019 forthcoming general election in the state.
Kamba said Kebbi State House of Assembly is the most peaceful House of Assembly in the country ‘stressed that “we should embrace peace and harmonious coexistence in 2019 general election.
The Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Kabiru which represented by AC, Musa Wada said politics is all about development not about fighting each other.
He said that politicians should desist from hate speech during rallies, campaign and possession an offensive weapons in the state.
The Commander of Duku Barack, Aliyu Mohammed which was represented by Lt Opeyemi Sobo said the average security services has been put in place ahead of 2019 general election in the state.
