Bauchi State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari and Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar as their presidential and governorship candidates respectively in the 2019 elections.
The party made the endorsement yesterday during its stakeholders meeting held at the Banquet Hall of the government House in Bauchi.
The meeting, which was presided over by the state APC Chairman, Uba Nana, was attended by the state executives of the party, members of the State House of Assembly, some serving and ex lawmakers in the state, as well as members of the Bauchi State executive council.
During the meeting, a member of the State Assembly representing Giade local government constituency, Honourable Adamu Bello, moved the motion for the endorsement of Buhari and Abubakar opining that they did well in the last three years in offices.
The motion was seconded by the state Commissioner of Environment, Rifkatu Samson Danna, who is also aspiring for the state House of Assembly to represent Bogoro local government in 2019.
Also speaking, the State Governor, represented by his Deputy, Audu Sule Katagum, commended President Buhari for restoring security to the country, which he said was hitherto destroyed by Boko Haram insurgents
