2019: Clergy urges prayers for Nigeria, warn against violent polls

A prophetic man of God, Prophet Godfrey Irehbude including 700 pastors in Asaba, Delta State on Monday harped on prayers for Nigerian people to avert bloodshed come 2019 elections.
Prophet Irehbude, founder King’s Chapel International Ministry (Alias Arena of Liberty) at the early morning message to mark the 58th Nigeria’s Independence, said: “I see dark rains coming, this is a sign of bad omen, Nigeria needs prayers, prayers to avert bloodshed elections, Nigeria is a blessed country but some persons are hell bent on destroying it” adding that to have a peaceful elections, there was need for continued prayers.
Noting that Nigeria’s Democracy had been hijacked over the years, Prophet Irehbude warned against bloodbath elections, saying that Nigeria’s democracy cannot thrive in “blood thirsty” processes.
He lamented the increasing rate of politicians’ alleged involvement in ritual activities to assume power, especially the killings of human beings as sacrifices to powers.
Also, the Delta State Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Bishop Kingsley Enakirerhi along with no fewer than 700 pastors across the state in Asaba, said that Nigeria as a nation is sick, and in a Dire need of men with great heats.
In a prayer event which held in the early hours at Acade Centre in Asaba, the visibly angry men of God said Nigeria has achieved nothing in the last 50 years, regretting that it has been killings, via Boko Haram, kidnappings and alleged Fulani attacks with no meaningful economic results.
Speaking on the topic “Enough of bloodbath”, the cleric said: “we need prayers to avert bloodbath, Nigerians are passing through hell, the only solution is prayers since our leaders are not doing enough to help to solve the problem.”
