Former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, who is also a presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has said he is not desperate to become the next President of the country in the 2019 presidential election.
Atiku made the declaration yesterday during his visit to delegates of the Edo State chapter of the PDP to solicit their support ahead of the party’s primary in September.
The former Vice President pointed out that notwithstanding the claim by his political foes and critics that he was bent on becoming the next President, he was qualified to contest the presidential election, adding that he has the right ideas to address the challenges affecting the country.
“What do you expect my critics to say? And there is nothing wrong in entering the race. I can run as many times as possible”, Atiku said.
