A Group, under the auspices of Progressive Forum in Niger East Senatorial District (Zone B), said that over 9,000 eligible voters will be mobilized to ensure the re-election of the state governor Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello into office by 2019.
The Forum Chairman in Niger East Zone B, Mallam Ibrahim Tukura said yesterday at a public lecture in Minna that the three senatorial districts will get at least 3,000 people each from their zones.
“We have gone round the nine local government areas in the zone, and our colleagues in the other two zones have done the same. We are mobilizing 3,000 people from each zone; and the over 9,000 of us will converge in Minna to drum support for the governor’s re-election.” he said.
He further called on Nigerlites to get registered and collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVCs), adding that “without your PVC, you cannot vote in your choice and the right candidates.
According to him, “We have been to all the wards in the 9 LGAs to educate them on the need to participate actively in the next general elections.”
The guest speaker in his lecture, Dr. Danladi Hakimi called for fairness and equity irrespective of religion, tribal and individual differences.
