2019: SGF says vote for Buhari shortest route to Igbo presidency

Date:

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, said the shortest route to an Igbo presidency was through a vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
Mustapha spoke on Saturday in Abuja at a Dinner organised for a Permanent Secretary in the Cabinet office, Mrs Georgina Ekeoma-Ehuriah, which was hosted by former Governor of Abia state, Orji Uzor Kalu at his residence.
The SGF thanked Igbo leaders for their support for Buhari’s government while asking them to perfect the art of negotiation with other sections of Nigeria before 2019 so that the presidency will be given to them faster than expected when Buhari’s constitutional tenure is over.
Former Abia Governor, Orji Kalu used the occasion to thank President Buhari for appointing the permanent secretary who is from his state and local government.
Kalu said that whenever Buhari declares his intention to contest the 2019 presidency, Igbo leaders will support him and work hard to ensure that he gets atleast seventy five percent votes in the southeast.
The Permanent Secretary is first female to be appointed Permanent Secretary into the Cabinet Affairs Office by the Federal Government.
The office is in charge of processing memoranda, notes, conclusions and discussions of all Statutory Councils and Committees of the Federal Executive Council, FEC.
