2023: FCT residents float contact group for Gov. Bello

A coalition of Abuja residents has organized a team to strategically strengthen the Presidential aspiration of the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.
The group under the aegis of “Neighbour to Neighbour for Governor Yahaya Bello for 2023 Presidency”, who were mostly his neighbours in Abuja noted that Governor Bello was loved by his people and admired by Nigerians importantly by the youth.
The Patron of the Coalition, Chief Chris Madu, who spoke recently with selected journalists in Abuja, noted that Yahaya Bello represents the interest of the youth and that was what the initial agitations of the EndSARS protesters were calling for after the disbandment of the dreaded police unit SARS.
“They called for accountability in governance and an end to corruption. These are the ideologies Gov. Bello stands for and that is why young people are urging him to run for the position of the President come 2023, and we his neighbours and those we have co-opted who believe in his ideology have formed this pressure group to throw our weight behind his aspirations.
“You know the population of young people in Nigeria is about 70 percent, with Yahaya Bello being the next president of Nigeria, come 2023, it goes in line with what the youths are asking for and they will reason with him and understand his language.
“It is good that he is already in leadership, so the experience that most people are saying the youths does not have he has it as a two term governor and judging from the grassroots experience, living close to him shows that he is accommodating.
“He is not amongst the older one who when they get into power move to Maitama or Asokoro. He has been our neighbour before he became Governor and is still our neighbour even now in his second term in office, he is a grassroots man”, he said.
