Inmate Escapes from Maiduguri Maximum Security Custodial Centre
The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Borno State Command, has announced the escape of an inmate from the Maximum Security Custodial Centre in Maiduguri.
The service identified the escapee as 22-year-old John Israel, who hails from Ado in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
It said that the escapee is 1.69 metres tall, dark-complexioned and of moderate build, with complete dentition.
The NCoS urged members of the public to provide credible information that could assist in locating the escapee.
It however advised the public not to attempt to apprehend the escaped prisoner, but to immediately report his whereabouts or anyone reasonably suspected to be him to the nearest police station, correctional facility or other relevant security agency.
