By Stanley Onyekwere

Following an increment in this year’s Hajj fare by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), the Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (FCT-MPWB) has directed its intending pilgrims, who paid earlier announced hajj fare of N4,699,000 to make additional payment of N1,918,032.91.
In particular, FCT-MPWB urged those concerned to make the payment on or before close of work on Wednesday 27th March, 2024 to be able to perform the hajj through the Board this year.
Similarly, the Board revealed that fresh applicants can still pay the sum of N8,254,464.74 before the deadline to book for their seats to partake in the exercise.
This development was disclosed in a statement from the Board’s Public Relations Officer(PRO) Muhammad Lawal Aliyu, which was made made available yesterday, to PeoplesDaily.
However, the Board advice those who wishes to withdraw their money to forward an application addressed to the Director of the FCT MPWB with their account details to get refund of the deposit or defer their trip to 2025 Hajj.
It added that the Board regrets all inconveniences the latest development may have caused.
