The Nasarawa Government on Friday gave a breakdown of N199.9 billion 2024 budget where recurrent expenditure took the total Sum of N113,123, 089.60 while the capital expenditure took the sum of N96,756, 315,639.83.
Presenting the budget analysis during a press conference, the state commissioner of Finance,, Budget and Planning, Hajiya Munira Abdullahi explained that the budget was based upon a collective commitment of government to continue with the space of development in the state to exceed all expectations.
She added that the administration of A A Sule has continued to pursue policies ,programmes and projects pitched towards meeting the Longings and ambitions of the people .
The commissioner also noted that the policy thrust of the 2024 Budget as passed by the State House of Assembly and assented by the Governor is focused on the provision of general security, completion of on going projects, workers welfare and creation of employment opportunities amongst others.
She reiterated that the administration of Governor Sule attached a lot of importance to accountability and transparency in the management of public resources .
She therefore assured that the state ministry of Finance will closely monitor and track the implementation of all the projects and programmes enunciated in the 2024 Budget, and called on all accounting officers of the ministries, Departments and Agencies in the state to be guided by the Appropriation Law and ensure that all revenue’s due for the state Government are properly collected as well as accounted inorder to achieve the set goal
Equally, she called on the citizens of the state to give the administration of Governor Sule the desire support inorder to succeed for the betterment of all.
