Date:

In a letter of appeal sign yesterday in Abuja by Amir, Alh. Abdulrazaq Ajani , the Forum ask Nigeriàn Government and other Stàkeholders to prioritize enhanced Welfare for the pilgrims.

“In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful, The Abuja Muslim Forum, an Islamic organization committed to the spiritual and physical welfare of Muslims in Nigeria, extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Nigerian government, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, and all other stakeholders for their efforts in preparing for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.

As arrangements near completion, we humbly appeal to all concerned authorities to prioritize and further enhance the welfare of our intending pilgrims, who are undertaking this sacred journey in fulfillment of one of the pillars of Islam.

In particular, we urge that:

Hajj Fees: Efforts should be made to make the Hajj fare as affordable as possible, especially in light of the current economic realities facing many citizens. Subsidies and flexible payment plans could go a long way in easing the financial burden.

Accommodation: Pilgrims deserve decent, safe, and comfortable accommodation, close to the holy sites in Makkah and Madinah, to minimize stress and enhance their spiritual experience.

Transportation: Efficient and organized transportation systems within Saudi Arabia, particularly during the critical days of Hajj rites (Arafat, Muzdalifah, and Mina), should be prioritized to ensure the safety and punctuality of pilgrims.

Healthcare Services: Robust healthcare arrangements, including the provision of medical personnel, mobile clinics, and emergency services, must be fully operational to cater to the health needs of the pilgrims.Hajj is a profound spiritual obligation, and its successful and dignified performance has a lasting impact on the individual and the community.

Thus, safeguarding the welfare of pilgrims is not only a logistical necessity but a religious duty upon all entrusted with their care.We pray that Allah (SWT) will guide and bless all our leaders, organizers, and intending pilgrims. May the 2025 Hajj season be safe, smooth, and spiritually fulfilling for all.Wassalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh.
