The National Treasurer of the African Democratic Congress, (ADC), Mani Ahmad, says the outcome of the recent FCT Area Council polls and the bye-election in Kano and Rivers States are not indicative of future results in the 2027 general elections.
Ahmad said this yesterday during an interview on ‘Morning Brief’, a programme on Channels Television, monitored in Abuja.
He was reacting to the recent FCT Area Council election and the bye-election in Kano and Rivers State.
Peoples Daily reports that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), clinched five Area Councils while the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), won in Gwagwalada Area Council.
The APC also cleared the bye-elections in Rivers and Kano States.
The ADC chieftain in a reaction said, “If anybody expects that the results of these elections in the FCT, Rivers, and Kano would be our scorecard and that nothing will change in 2027, then they will be in for a big surprise.
“Significant efforts are underway to unite the front team, integrate experienced individuals, and develop a clear strategy for winning future elections.
“The party and its members are dedicated to this objective.”
