In a strategic move to redefine representation for the FCT’s most populous federal constituency, Sarah Ivie Adidi has officially taken her “people-first” mandate to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Meeting with FCT APC Chairman, Hon. Tanko Ishaku Yamawo, on Wednesday, the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency aspirant unveiled a comprehensive legislative roadmap designed to dismantle long-standing infrastructural deficits and bridge the widening gap between the government and the governed.
Adidi’s agenda, which she describes as a “service-driven contract” with the people, focuses on four critical pillars aimed at transforming the socio-economic landscape of the Federal Capital Territory.
She identified prioritizing job creation and vocational skills acquisition to combat youth unemployment and expanding access to quality education and revitalizing primary healthcare delivery.
She added there is a plan towards addressing the neglect of rural and suburban communities within the AMAC/Bwari axis as well as establishing permanent channels for community engagement to ensure legislative decisions reflect the actual needs of the residents.
”I am committed to building a representation that listens, understands, and responds.
“This journey is about ensuring that no community, no matter how remote, is left behind,” Adidi told party leaders.
Responding to her presentation, Hon. Tanko Ishaku Yamawo praised Adidi’s proactive engagement and her focus on issue-based campaigning.
The Chairman also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to internal democracy, promising a level playing field for all contenders seeking the APC ticket.
He urged Adidi to maintain her momentum and continue strengthening the party’s unity through her consultations.
Following her high-level meeting with party executives, Adidi returned to her roots in Dutse-Alhaji Ward to formally declare her ambition before a massive crowd of family, party stalwarts, and supporters.
The atmosphere was electric as the aspirant vowed to be the “strong, effective voice” that the constituency has lacked in the nation’s decision-making corridors.
”Our constituency deserves more than just a seat in the chamber; it deserves a voice that shapes policy to define a better future for our children,” she declared, pledging that her tenure would be marked by unprecedented accountability and visible transformation.
With her formal declaration and the blessing of the FCT APC leadership, Adidi has positioned herself as a formidable force in the race, banking on a blend of youth energy and a disciplined, grassroots-oriented strategy.
