2027: APC N/West begins zonal mobilisation for Tinubu’s re-election

The All Progressives Congress (APC), in the North-West zone has kicked off zonal mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Party leaders from the seven states in the zone met over the weekend in Kaduna to strategize on grassroots sensitization, a membership drive, and the strengthening of party structures ahead of the polls.
Addressing the gathering, the APC North-West Zonal Chairman said the region remains committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda and will work to deliver overwhelming votes for President Tinubu in 2027.
“Our mandate is clear. We must return to our states, LGAs, and wards to mobilize, reconcile, and ensure the APC remains united and strong. President Tinubu deserves a second term to consolidate on the reforms he has started,” he said.
He noted that despite current economic challenges, the Tinubu administration has laid the foundation for long-term growth through infrastructure projects, student loan schemes, and security interventions, many of which directly benefit the North-West.
The meeting also resolved to set up zonal, state and local government mobilization committees to coordinate voter education, youth and women engagement, and early campaigns to prevent anti-party activities.
Party stakeholders emphasized the need for unity among APC leaders in Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi States, saying internal divisions could undermine the zone’s voting strength.
A former governor in attendance urged members to “go back and sell the achievements of the government to the people,” adding that the North-West must speak with one voice to protect its political interests in 2027.
The zonal leadership further pledged to work closely with the APC National Working Committee, governors, National Assembly members, and traditional institutions to ensure massive turnout and support for the President.
With the mobilization drive now underway, APC leaders in the North-West say they are targeting early consolidation of the zone as a stronghold for the party ahead of 2027.
