The Coalition of Professional People Living with Disability (CPPLWDs) has revealed that appointing Halimat Tejuosho as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation will guarantee a whopping 37 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
In a press statement issued on behalf of the group by Barrister Ismaila Sani Dabai and made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Wednesday, the disability group expressed deep disappointment and frustration that their plea for Tejuosho’s appointment continues to be disregarded, while those of other groups are being granted.
Notwithstanding this, the group reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Tinubu-led administration, citing his Renewed Hope Agenda. They emphasized that they do not regard the appointment as an entitlement but rather as a necessary acknowledgment of Tejuosho’s remarkable contributions to humanity, particularly during the tumultuous #EndBadGovernance protests.
The CPPLWDs highlighted Tejuosho’s exceptional selflessness and leadership, noting that she utilized her resources to embark on a nationwide tour, traversing Jos, Abuja, and other states, engaging Nigerian youths, and passionately appealing to them to give the government more time.
