The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State has shown electoral preparedness by taking a step towards internal reconciliation with the formal submission of a peace and unity report by a Peace Panel Chaired by former Senator, Mohammed Mana.

Formed after consultations with key political stakeholders in Adamawa, the committee was tasked with resolving internal conflicts within the party.

In a statement signed and made available to the media in Kaduna, today, the party’s North East Zonal Vice Chairman, Comrade Mustapha Salihu described the outcome as a turning point for the APC in the state.

The statement revealed that, the panel’s efforts were part of a broader peace initiative supported by the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and Comrade Mustapha Salihu.

Comr. Salihu stressed that the reconciliation effort was a product of inclusive dialogue and collective commitment to party unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He opined that the reconciliation is not merely about ending disputes but about rebuilding trust and laying the groundwork for the party’s future success.

“This report is the result of honest engagement and shared purpose. I commend everyone who contributed, especially our National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, for his steadfast support.”

In a show of support, the Adamawa APC Unity Forum, led by Abubakar Hamma, praised both Ribadu and Salihu for their leadership, describing their involvement as critical to the committee’s credibility and success.

Echoing similar sentiments, the Coalition of APC Youths Forum in Adamawa, led by Hon. Khalil Sajo, expressed optimism about the party’s future. According to Sajo, the APC is now more united and strategically positioned for electoral victory in 2027.

“This reconciliation gives us a strong foundation. Thanks to our leaders, we can now focus on winning rather than internal battles,” he said.

In a separate move that underscores his commitment to the party’s development, Comrade Salihu recently donated a modern 20-Room complex to serve as the new APC Secretariat in Adamawa, dedicated to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
