Scores of supporters from the African Democratic Congress, (ADC), All Progressives Congress, (APC), and Labour Party, (LP), have dumped their respective parties and defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), in a massive show of support in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.

The defection took place in Adoka town and drew a mammoth crowd of party faithful, political stakeholders, and residents from across the local government area.

The defectors were warmly received by the Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Abba Moro, who described the event as a strong indication of the PDP’s deepening influence and enduring connection with the grassroots.

Addressing the crowd, Senator Moro applauded the decampees for their decision, calling it a courageous and timely step in the right direction.

He assured them of full integration into the PDP and emphasized the party’s readiness to work with all well-meaning individuals to bring development and good governance to the people.

“This massive defection today is a loud statement that our people are tired of political deceit and empty promises,” Moro said.

“You have returned home to a party that understands your struggles, feels your pain, and is genuinely committed to your progress.

The PDP is the people’s party and together, we will rebuild and transform our communities.”
