Ahead of the 2027 Nasarawa State governorship election, Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has pledged to sustain and expand on the developmental achievements of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration if elected governor.
Wadada made the pledge during a reception to mark his 62nd birthday at the Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, where Governor Sule openly reaffirmed his support for the senator’s political ambition.
Addressing political leaders and party faithful at the event, Wadada expressed appreciation for Governor Sule’s governance record and pledged to maintain high standards of service delivery across Nasarawa State.
“I come in as a product of the best to continue on the pedestal of the best and deliver the best as well,” Wadada said.
The senator commended the incumbent administration for consistently delivering democratic dividends to the people and prayed for Governor Sule’s continued success and guidance.
In his remarks, Governor Sule expressed confidence in Wadada’s ability to lead the state, predicting that the senator would assume office as governor before his next birthday.
“This is the last birthday you will have not as His Excellency.
“By your next birthday, Insha Allah, you will be the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, by the grace of God,” the governor said.
Governor Sule also prayed for Wadada’s good health, long life and political success, describing the birthday celebration as a significant moment for the political coalition supporting the senator.
The event attracted prominent political figures, including All Progressives Congress (APC) State Chairman Aliyu Bello, party executives, former public office holders and grassroots supporters.
The public show of support between Governor Sule and Senator Wadada highlights their political alignment and reinforces Wadada’s position as a contender in the race for the Nasarawa State governorship in 2027.
