Around 50 farmers, including women and youths, have been equipped with new cowpea production skills to enhance their farming activities across the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State.

Mr. Musa Raji, the North West Zonal Director of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, disclosed this during an Emergency Training on Climate Resilient Practices in Cowpea Production.

The training was organized by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with the Kaduna State Agricultural Development Agency in Kaduna.

He said the training was carefully designed to address the challenges hindering effective cultivation of cowpea, especially in the northwest, and to provide effective solutions.
