Eight people were killed yesterday in a ghastly motor accident at Farin Doki along Minna – Suleja road in Paikoro local government area of Niger state.
The accident involved a bus with a Kano registration number KNC 297 ZU, conveying passengers from Katsina to Lagos.
It was reliably gathered that the injured victims were assisted by some good samaritans to the hospital at Gawu in Gurara local government area of Niger State.
According to an eye witness, five men, one woman and a child were killed during the unfortunate accident that occurred at 7:00pm on Monday.
When contacted, Niger State command police public relations office, DSP, Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the incident.
He said the accident was as a result of a mechanical fault developed by the vehicle.
He further said that the corpses were taken to IBB Hospital Morgue.
