IPAC commends S/east govs over proscription of IPOP

The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Plateau State Chapter, said it was displeased with the recent situation, violence in Jos.
It commend South East Governors, for their proscription of of IPO, as a terrorist organization.
IPAC in a press release signed by its Secretary Hon. Abdul Abdul, said activities of some mischief makers who are trying to put the State Capital into another round of violent conflict, is
condemnable.
It said: “..all the Political Parties on the Plateau, we wish to state categorically that such action of those unscrupulous elements is: detestable, condemnable, mischievous, and even criminal in it’s entirety, without any iota of reservation whatsoever.”
IPAC also to registered its unreserved commendation to the Plateau State Government under the stewardship of Hon. Simon Lalong on his effort to bring the leaders of the various communities together to chart the course of peace and peaceful coexistence among the people of Plateau State, and also his swift reaction in calming the situation by imposing a dusk to dawn curfew (6pm to 6am) and the deployment of security operatives to all flash points in the areas in question, in his capacity as the Chief security officer of the State pending when normalcy returns.
The Council calls on the Government of Plateau State and the security not to prolong the said curfew for too long so as to allow citizens enjoy their Constitutional rights to freedom of movement as enshrined in the Constitution and the laws.
More so, we urge all well meaning Nigerians residence in Plateau State to embrace the path of peace irrespective of social, political, ethnic or religious affiliation and avoid any act capable of undermining the fragile peace we enjoy and/or even tarnishing the image of our Dear State and the Country as a whole.
“We further wish to commend the efforts of the five (5) Governors of the South Eastern part of the Country for proscribing the activities of the IPOB which was corroborated by the pronouncement by the Defense Headquarters as a terrorist organisation, in the all the affected regions of the South East & South South and even any part of the country,” it said.
According to IPAC, the efforts of the Federal Government in providing security in all parts of Nigeria cannot be neglected. We pray God Almighty to improve the health of our Dear President, President Muhammadu Buhari and give him the wisdom the steer the Country to the right path.
