LG Electronics has unveiled a range of washing machines aimed at helping Nigerian households save time, improve fabric care and make laundry more convenient.
The company said its Twin Tub, Top Load and Front Load machines were designed to meet the varying needs and lifestyles of Nigerian families.
LG said changing consumer preferences were driving demand for washing machines that offer more than basic cleaning, with hygiene, efficiency, convenience and fabric protection becoming increasingly important.
The company noted that Twin Tub machines remained popular among Nigerian consumers because of their affordability and practicality.
It, however, said growing awareness of convenience and energy efficiency was encouraging more consumers to consider advanced laundry solutions.
According to LG, its Top Load washing machines offer larger load capacity, intuitive controls and efficient washing performance for modern households.
The company said its Front Load models provide enhanced washing performance, fabric protection and improved water and energy efficiency.
Oktae Kim, General Manager, Home Appliances Solutions, LG Electronics West Africa, said modern laundry appliances should help families reduce the time spent on household chores.
“Modern families are looking for solutions that help them spend less time on household chores and more time on the moments that matter most,” Kim said.
He said LG was combining technology with consumer education and community engagement to improve laundry care.
Kim said the company had established Free Laundry Centres and organised laundry education initiatives to help consumers make informed decisions about garment care.
He also cited LG’s partnership with Aspira Nigeria Limited, makers of VIVA-Matic Detergent, and its Laundry Masterclass organised with Clean Ace Dry Cleaners.
“Through these initiatives, we are helping consumers make informed decisions about garment care while enjoying a more convenient laundry experience,” he said.
LG said growing interest in smart-home appliances was also influencing consumer choices in Nigeria.
The company said consumers were increasingly considering appliances based on performance, resource efficiency, hygiene and convenience.
It added that consumer education remained important in helping households understand how newer technologies could improve everyday laundry routines.
