Despite FAAC delay, Jigawa pays N724m to pensioners for July

Despite the delay from Federation Accounts and Allocation Committee, the Jigawa state and Local Government Contributory Pension Board has released the sum of over Seven Hundred and Twenty Four Million Naira N724,917,981 to 429 beneficiaries across the state.
The Acting Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Musa Muhammad ‘Yalleman disclosed this while briefing news men on the disbursement exercise yesterday in Dutse the state capital.
He explained that, no fewer than 429 beneficiaries from both state,local government council and local government education authority have collected their benefit for the month of July this year.
He said out of the amount over 473 million naira was paid as retirement benefit to 285 state, local government and Local Education authority staff and over 209 million naira paid as death benefit to 103 deceased relations.
Other payment includes 40 million naira paid to 38 relations as death pension balance and one million one hundred and fourteen thousand naira paid to 3 staff as refund of eight percent contribution.
The acting executive secretary also commended Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar for the support and cooperation given to the board at all times.
He then expressed appreciation to the staff and management of the board as well as the office of the head of service for their dedication in prompt payment of staff benefit.
