Ganduje empowers 8,800 youth with N275 m

In his effort to alleviate the sufferings of youths in Kano state, the state Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has launched another empowerment programme for 8,800 youth across the 44 local government areas of the state.
Ganduje who was speaking during the flag off of the empowerment programme at the Government House Kano, said his administration will provide them with a working capital of N20, 000 each as startup capital for them to assist them in their businesses.
“It is with great pleasure to be here in your midst for the issuance of start-ups capital in the sum of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000) each to a total of 8,800 males drawn from the 44 local governments thus, 200 per each local government area.”
He equally hinted that not only males are to benefit from the empowerment programme, “Similar programme will be launched for females tomorrow. Ours is to make sure that families become happier and self-reliant.”
