Yobe UPP chair lauds PCNI over training of teachers

The Yobe State Chairman of the Unite Progressive Party (UPP), Hon Aliyu Buba Amshi, has commended the Presidential Committee On North East Initiative (PCNI) for training over I000 primaries school teachers in the state.
The State Chairman, who made the commendation while speaking with our correspondent in Jos, started that, the training of the teachers will address trauma counseling and psychosocial support, security and safety as well as teaching techniques among others.
According to him, the collaboration with Yobe state university for five days capacity building workshop for primary school teachers is great achievement and promoted the education sector under the leadership of PCNI.
He urged the teachers who participated in the training to use the knowledge they gain to impact positively on their students. “Education is key of life, education is backbone of any society” he emphasized.
Amshi said “ the training will benefit the students in the area of learning because teachers have learned new ways of making classrooms conducive for them to learn,” he said.
He also commenting on the activities of the committee for presently transiting from humanitarian intervention to real aspect of development of the programmer among the town and village in our state and region at large.
