Minna: Land speculators urged to end menace

Worried about the persistent land speculations in the Minna metropolis, a Gwari elder and one of the first settlers of the city, Alhaji Hamza Yanga Buba has raised alarm over incessant issues concerning land speculators on rampage in the state capital.
He lamented that the culprits are using the names of some concerned and relevant authorities to intimidate some innocent individuals that their houses were built on government layouts and receiving gratification to settle authorities on their behalf.
Buba was optimistic that those involved in the shady deals were not officials of the Ministry of Land and Environment hence the need to raise the alarm and notify the public on the menace especially at Old Shango (Brighter) area of Minna.
He noted that the area was allocated to people and individuals many years ago and had developed their lands with various structural buildings hence the speculators deal of recent.
The Mai Anguwan however, advised those involved in the illegal business in the area to stop immediately or to face the full wrath of the law as security agencies has been alerted to enhanced peace in the areas.
He noted that these was to dent the good reputation of the present government in the state and the image of the relevant authorities concern while urging youths in the area not to take laws into their hands by ensuring peaceful coexistence enjoyed years before now.
