FGC Bauchi receives 200 students and staff from Yobe

Following closure of schools by the federal government over insecurity in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states, over 200 staff and students who were transferred, have arrived at the Federal Government Girls College, Bauchi.

The coordinating officer, inspectorate unit Bauchi, Muhammad Tajuddeen Abdullahi, disclosed this yesterday while speaking with newsmen in Bauchi, and commended parents and students for complying with the directives.

Tajuddeen said the over 200 students and teachers have been accommodated by the principals of the schools in Bauchi and Azare.

A source in one of the schools said, before their arrival, “We made contingency plans in respect of classroom and hostel accommodation. Before they came, we had 35 students in each of our classrooms now we have between 40 and 45, which is still conducive for teaching and learning.
