National President of Nupe Foundation, Engr. Yusuf Yabagi Sani, has drawn the attention of President Goodluck Jonathan to what he termed, “sidelining” of its members at the ongoing National onference.

The Nupe Foundation, which is a socio-cultural organisation for all upe people in Nigeria, noted with dismay that, “not a single Nupe man or woman is allowed to represent the Nupe at the conference.”

“We express our profound regrets over the inauguration of the Confab by Mr. President today, the 17th day of March 2014, which brazenly short changed with impunity, the Nupe creed. History and posterity shall detest this injustice,” Sani stated.

“Not even a single Nupe man or woman is allowed to represent the Nupe, out of the Ninety (90) slots reserved for Ethnic Nationalities among the delegates to the National Confab?

“It is a grave mistake to sideline Nupe, the number four Ethnic group in this country and this should be corrected immediately,” he further said.
