In a statement issued on Friday to mark the milestone, the President described Idris as an accomplished communicator and seasoned media professional who has brought credibility and depth to the dissemination of government policies and programmes.
Tinubu noted that the minister has played a critical role in projecting the achievements of the administration, particularly through effective communication of its Renewed Hope agenda.
“Mohammed is an excellent communicator, public relations executive, and media leader who has brought finesse, credibility, and gravitas to public communication in our administration,” the President stated.
He further highlighted Idris’ longstanding influence in Nigeria’s media and public relations space, citing his role as founder and publisher of Blueprint Newspapers, as well as his leadership of a public relations consultancy and broadcast outfit.
The President also recalled Idris’ tenure as General Secretary of the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria, describing it as a period that underscored his patriotism and commitment to nation-building.
Commending his diligence and professionalism, Tinubu urged the minister to sustain his efforts in effectively communicating government policies and programmes to Nigerians.
“As Mohammed celebrates this milestone birthday, I join his family and friends in wishing him more years of good health and strength as he continues to serve the nation,” the statement added.
