Kebbi most peaceful state in Nigeria, says UN

The United Nations has described Kebbi State as the most peaceful state in the country.
This was disclosed yesterday by the Deputy High Commissioner to the High Commission, Gill Atkinson who were on official visit to the state.
He commended the state governor for maintaining the status quo by restoring the peace and love amongst the people of the state.
She also applauded the Governor for assisting the women and youth who specializes in different skills acquisitions adding that the UN is ready to support the State in order for them to achieve the same desire.
“it was amazing today when I visited the centers and see how people put technology together and make it to be one in term of businesses” she added.
He then urged all the Stakeholders to fight the poverty which she also described as a major challenges in the country, commended the Kebbi Governor for reducing it to the lowest in the State.
Responding, the State Governor Senator Atiku Abubakar Bagudu thanked the UN for visiting Kebbi State assured them of Government commitment towards delivery the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
“we thank you people for the supporting our election in the country, now the ruling party lost to oppositions and it was given, now our judiciary are independent,” he added.
