FIFA slams Tunisian club with three transfer window ban

Date:

Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel on Friday received a transfer ban from FIFA following their dispute with former player Darwin Gonzales.
Etoile will not be able to sign any player in three transfer windows unless they settle the signing-on fee owed to the former Deportivo la Gueira player. This ban will remain in force as long as the Sousse club fails to clear the balance.
Gonzalez is demanding around $200,000 from the Tunisian club, an amount the club’s spokesman said that they will settle soon.
The 25-year-old Venezuelan joined Etoile in January from La Gueira in a three-year deal.
