From Yakubu Mustapha, Minna

The Independent Corrupt Practice Commission (ICPC) has invited the Chairman of Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger state, Alhaji Suleiman Dauda Chukuba for interrogation over alleged financial recklessness and misappropriation of public funds meant for the council.
Accordingly, he was said to have been invited to Abuja last week by the commission (ICPC) to respond to allegation of misappropriating some monies from the fifty million naira tenement rate meant for Shiroro Local Government Council.
Consequently, the Commission was said to have swung into action sequel to a petition received from an indigene and elder of Shiroro Local Government Council, Alhaji Muhammadu Awaisu Wana.
However, the Chairman was later invited to defend himself on the allegation as levelled against him.
According to report in the petition it was alleged that the chairman, Suleiman Dauda Chukuba singlehandedly collected fifty million naira (N50 Million) instalment out of one hundred million naira meant for Shiroro Local Government Council as tenement rate from North South Power Company Shiroro Dam which he shared part of such monies to some individuals.
