Tonto Dikeh lays foundation for new ministry in Nigeria

Date:

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has laid the foundation for her newly established ministry, New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle (NWPT), after unveiling the religious movement in August 2026.

Dikeh announced the development in an Instagram post on Friday, October 9, 2026, sharing a video of herself leading members of the ministry at the project site, where prayers were offered to dedicate the work.

The actress said the project was being committed to God, expressing hope that it would fulfil its spiritual purpose.

“Lord, we humbly dedicate this work into Your hands,” she wrote.

“May it serve its ultimate purpose for Your glory, and may every hand be blessed.”

Dikeh also expressed appreciation to her spiritual father, whom she credited with providing leadership and nurturing believers.

“To my spiritual father, thank you, PAPA, for your selfless leadership and for raising a generation of steadfast soldiers for the Kingdom. We love and honour you deeply,” she added.

The actress unveiled NWPT in August, describing it as “a spiritual home of consecrated believers”.

According to her, the ministry seeks to promote spiritual revival and develop believers committed to their faith.

She said its vision was to achieve “a global awakening of consecrated believers operating in the raw power, purity, and presence of God transforming nations”.

The ministry’s mission also includes establishing what she described as “an interdenominational altar of prayer and revival”.

Dikeh’s growing involvement in religious activities followed her public declaration of faith last year.

She is also known to participate in the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations ministry associated with cleric Jerry Eze.

In previous public statements, the actress spoke about changes she said she had experienced since embracing Christianity, including what she described as deliverance from sexual immorality, anger and addiction.

In March 2026, she also conducted a deliverance session for a female secondary school student, according to reports.

The establishment of NWPT marks another step in Dikeh’s publicly expressed religious journey, as she combines her celebrity profile with activities centred on prayer, spiritual growth and revival.
