FCT: Gwagwalada Area Council sinks

The administration of Gwagwalada Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under the leadership of Alhaji Adamu Mustapha Danze is falling apart, as the lawmakers of the Area Council locked the gate of the council to prevent the Executive Chairman from entering the Council.
A source revealed that the lawmakers locked the gate of the Area Council due to the failure of the chairman to renovate the legislative chamber that was linking for so long now.
Source further disclosed that the legislators locked the gate because the chairman did not fulfill the promise made earlier to rehabilitate the legislative chamber of the elected Councillors.
It was gathered that the chairman has not been carrying the elected Councillors along in the scheme of things at the Area Council which triggered then to lock the gate of the council.
However, an impeachable source at the Area Council, accused the chairman of refusing to pay the burial benefits of some council staff who died long ago, especially the former Head of Administration of the council, alleging that the chairman was lacking leadership capability to handle the affairs of the council.
It was observed that during the rainfall some parts of the Area Council buildings used to link, a situation some aggrieved APC members described as a ridiculous.
