Gombe NUJ correspondents chapel sheath sword over boycott of government activities

Members of the Gombe state correspondents chapel of NUJ yesterday decided to suspend its boycott of government activities following the imbroglio that occurred on 1st October 2020 between Chief Security Officer (CSO) Government House SP Sani Adamu and correspondents chapel.
The suspension was announced in a press release signed by its secretary Mr. William Atta and chairman Ms Hajara Leman.
The release added that the intervention of Gombe state governor Alhaji Muhammadu Yahaya also contributed for the resumption of duty.
It said as fourth estate of the realm, Journalists are always at the forefront to report issues related to good governance to ensure that people benefitted the dividend of democracy.
