Former Super Eagles coach, ‘Chairman’ Chukwu is not dead

Former Super Eagles captain and coach, Christian ‘Chairman’ Chukwu, is not dead,
Chukwu who marked is 70th birthday on Monday was rumoured to have died Tuesday afternoon. However, findings have show that the rumoured death is untrue.
Rumours of Chukwu’s purported death started making the rounds early Tuesday afternoon but checks in his Enugu base proved the tales to be fake news.
One of Chukwu’s friends contacted, Sir Abuchi Anueyiagu, quickly put a call across to the former international and erstwhile senior national team coach.
“The story is not true,” Sir Anueyiagu said after few minutes. “It is a wicked rumour; please disregard it.
“I just spoke with Chairman Chukwu. He is still in the village enjoying himself and informed me that he will soon return to Enugu,” Anueyiagu added
It could be recalled that ‘Chairman’ Chukwu, Was in May 2019 flown to London for medical treatment
Chukwu, who captained the Super Eagles to win the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 1980, had season recovered from the ailment.
