All Peoples Congress (APC) Bauchi State chapter has solicited the cooperation of the Police and the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC during the conduct of all its congresses.
Chairman of the delegation of State Congress Committee, Dr Almajiri Geidam, stated this yesterday in Bauchi after he led members of the delegation on a courtesy visit to the State Police Commissioner, Mohammed Ladan, and the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Mr Samuel Madaki separately in their offices.
Geidam told the Commissioner of Police that they were in his office to solicit for his cooperation to provide security to the members of the party during the forth coming congresses.
He said APC wanted to be transparent in its activities especially during its congresses just as he thanked the Police for its effort and interest to protect lives and properties of the people.
At the INEC office, the APC official solicited the cooperation of the electoral body to enable them conduct hitch free congresses in Bauchi State.
Earlier the Police Commissioner had said the exercise was a big task to both the Police and the party and urged the party members to always conduct themselves in an orderly manner even as he assured them of maximum security.
The REC assured them of INEC official commitment in all the local government areas in the state to monitor and observe the congress in the state.
