Tor Tiv assures Gov. Ortom of protection by traditional institutions

Paramount ruler of Tiv nation and Chairman, Benue State Traditional Council His Royal Majesty (HRM), Prof James Ayatse has assured Gov Samuel Ortom of adequate protection by the Tiv Traditional Council.
Prof Ayatse made this assurance yesterday during a prayer session for Gov Ortom at the remodelled Tor Tiv Palace in Gboko, Gboko Local Government Area of the State.
He said the Tiv Traditional Council were solidly behind the governor and those planning to “harm him would never succeed”.
The Tor Tiv said the forefathers would do everything possible to protect the governor from the enemies attack.
Speaking during the prayer session, Governor Samuel Ortom appreciated the prayers of Benue people especially the traditional institution for him.
He disclosed that he has approved handover of all Governors Lodges across the State to become official residence of First Class Chiefs covering such locations.
Ortom also explained that where there were no governors lodges, government would build official residence for such chiefs.
