Residents of Adamawa state have been advised to desist from indiscriminate dumping of refuse and to inculcate habit of cleaning their drainages to avoid risk of flooding.
Director of Environmental Health and Sanitation,Ministry of Environment, Eskwaya Danfulani gave the advice in an interview with the media in Yola on Monday.
He stressed that with the raining season in place, promoting good hygiene is eminent.
Danfulani urged residents to also stop building on waterways and be committed to cleaning their drainages to reduce risks of growing mosquitoes and over flooding due to heavy downpour.
