The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) is celebrating 60 years of its existence with strong condemnation of the abduction of 120 female students of Government Girls Secondary School Chibok, in Borno state by insurgents and the Nyanya bombing in Abuja.
This was contained in a speech delivered by the President of MSSN, Malam AbdulAzeez Sirajudeen Folayemi at the occasion of the 60th anniversary of MSSN for North-West zone held in Birnin Kebbi with the theme: ‘’MSSN: Impacts, problems and prospects’’.
According to the president, the MSSN strongly condemns any act of terrorism, especially the abduction of the female students at GGSS Chibok, in Borno.
The act, he said, increased and complicated the suffering of the already traumatised parents, urging all to embark in fasting and prayers in order to seek Allah’s intervention.
AbdulAzeez, also described the Nyanya bombing as barbaric and worried that the insurgency has taken dangerous dimension.
He called on governments at all levels to do everything possible to secure the release of the abducted girls and also review the state of emergency imposed in Borno and other states in the North-East as, according to him, it is not solving the security challenges.
