Governor Buni committed to progressive initiatives for national development – PGF

The APC Governors Forum has extolled the leadership style and selflessness of chairman of the Party’s Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Mai Mala Buni, saying he has demonstrated commitment to progressive initiatives that will lead to national development.

The Governors, under the umbrella of Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), in a statement issued yesterday by the chairman, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, to felicitate Buni on his 54th birthday celebration, also promised to create more jobs.

The PGF said further that it has recognised Buni’s insightful and resolute inputs to the processes of managing governance in Yobe State, adding that through all the development initiatives being implemented by his APC led government, has discharged himself as a shining light of Nigeria’s politics.

The statement said “The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) joins HE Mai Mala Buni, Chairman, APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and Governor of Yobe State, to celebrate his 54th birthday. Along with the people of Yobe State, and other well-meaning Nigerians, we join his family to celebrate this special occasion.

“We wish to acknowledge and commend your leadership, vision and commitment to a united and prosperous Nigeria. As the Chairman, APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, we celebrate your inclusiveness leadership in this period of the life of our Party, APC.

“You have been a consistent and selfless contributor to progressive initiatives towards developing our states and Nigeria. We also recognise your insightful and resolute inputs to the processes of managing governance in Yobe State. As Governor of Yobe State, through all the development initiatives being implemented by your APC-led government, you are a shining light of our politics!”

While reiterating their commitment to reduce inequality and tackle poverty in the country, the APC Governors Forum said “As we rejoice with, HE Mai Mala Buni, we also reaffirmed our collective commitment to implement programmes that would strengthen the capacities of our progressive states to create jobs, stimulate economic activity, reduce inequality and diminish poverty in Nigeria.

“Once again, congratulations and Happy Birthday to HE. Mai Mala Buni!”
