A Pakistan national, Muhammed Zubair has been arraigned before Ogba Magistrate court, Lagos State, over alleged assault of a female colleague, Mrs. Nnaemeka Kofoworola.
He was arraigned before Justice K.A. Ariyo on the 22nd of March, 2022, for allegedly attacking Mrs. Nnaemeka Kofoworola on the 17th day of December, 2021 at No. 7/11 Egbe Road, Ikotun.
In her petition, dated 21st of December, 2021, to the office of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police (CP) she alleged that the accused has been bullying and calling her unprintable names which she has been enduring over the year, before physically assaulting her for daring to talk back at him.
According to the Prosecutor, Inspector Christopher John,” the offence is contrary to section 171 (2) and punishable under section 172 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.
He pleaded not guilty to the one count charge of assault.
He was granted bail to the sum of N100,000.00 and two sureties whose address must be verify by the court.
The case was adjourned to 26th of April, 2022 for mentioned.
