From Bashir Rabe Mani in Sokoto
Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, has approved the appointment of eight District Heads to fill existing vacant positions in the state.
The approval followed recommendation by the Sultanate Council, Sokoto.
Those appointed are Salihu Sarkin Noma Kadadi as Sarkin Arewan Kadadi, Isah Daudu Gidan Madi as Ausan Gidan Madi, Gidado Muhammad Dabagi as Sarkin Gabas Dabagin Ardo, Hayatu Jibo Dallatu as Uban Kasar Tudun Wada, Abdullahi Muhammed Danchadi as Sarkin Zamfaran Danchadi, Hon. Umar Shehu Goronyo as Sarkin Gabas Goronyo, Alhaji Kabiru Marafa as Ajiyan Tsaki and Muhammadu Buhari Mai Lato Gumbi as Ardon Wajake.
A statement signed by the Secretary, Sultanate Council, Sa’idu Muhammad Maccido, Danburan Sokoto, said the formal turbanning ceremony will be performed by His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, at a later date.
The statement said that the Sultanate Council congratulated the appointees for the well-deserved appointment and wished them a successful tenure and God’s guidance.
