Communal clash claims one in Niger

A yet to be identified group of hoodlums have attacked the residence of one Mohammed Yan-Nda of Tswata area of Doko village in Niger State.

He is the father of one Mubarak who was reported to have stabbed a man in Lavun local government area of the state.

The hoodlums mobilized to  Mohammed’s residence in reprisal of the injury sustained by the victim, and lynched him to death while they vandalized some of his property and some neighboring houses and fled the scene.

When contacted, the state command’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the incident, saying that policemen have been drafted to the village and effort is ongoing to apprehend the hoodlums.
